All of our learning today took place without having access to technology tools such as laptops, the Smartboard, Senteo Responders, and digital cameras. In Math, we completed a unit test and worked on Logique 18 without any direction from the SMARTBoard or without any interactive warm-up. In Language Arts, we completed a poetry handout and started some of our own poetry. In Science, we did a matching activity using the chalkboard, read from the text and copied vocabulary notes. How does technology affect our every day routine? How could we have used technology today to better our learning experience? (Please remember the 5 point blog rubric. I didn't like the no technology day at all. We had to write down our warm-up questions, copy notes instead of just reading them off of the smartboard. To play matching games and things like that, we had to copy them down. School is a lot easier with smartboards and technology, because you are more involved.

I think it was pretty fun not having technology all day,it really didn't make a difference to me because we didn't really need the smart board much wednesday.

it affects our every day routine by like making things esier (i know i spelled that wrong) but its harder without technology to because we could have done that test on the senteos and gotten the responses instantly but now we have to wait like a week or two to get the results. but there is also a down side to computers because now you can get a computer that you just have to say type a or type b. so there is a good side to technology and a dark side... kind of like duck tape. I find the no technolgy day was tough but i could get threw it easily. It's true that technology helps alot like in the class room. Instead of photo - copying miss.b can just search something up on the internet and show some moddels of poetry, math, science , (ect.).
In conclusion i think that the no-technology day in miss.b classroom was a fun event.

no technology day did'nt really effect me, I found it was just a regular day. Mater in fact i would perfer no technology, I mean writting notes takes longer then to photo copy, wich means the day will go by faster and it will improve your writting skills. In the end i don't really care and I still would rather be home, but in my opinion, least i have to go to school.I'd rather no technology. JM15P

no technology day was not that bad. if we added computer to the list of stuff able to use for the day then it would be exactly like the days in my old school. in my old school the papers we used would be considered as very little.so in my opinion even if the smartboard is extremly expensive it saves an extremly vast amount of paper and by that I mean an extremly vast amount of trees. it also saves me alot of writing and work. In the end the no technology is nothing but another normal day to me.
Technology has effected our education because it helps us and we can feel included in the activity. Using technology everyday is awesome but then when we had no technology Wednesday was different because we use technology everyday and not using technology, we're used to the technology so having to work like we did 3 or 4 years ago was like a flashback I guess. Also with no technology it is harder for not only the students it is harder for the teacher because they have to do a lot of planning. They also need to write everything before the class because they don't want to waste class time.

I think that technology affects ou daily routine because we can easly use the Smartboard for exercises,like the one on the chalkboard,we could have just easily drag the stuff in the right place.It also affects our daily routine because we probably would have to copy stuff down instead of getting photocopys.;)

technologie effects our every day's because we use a microphone instead of yelling and we use the smartboard to project quiz questions and warm ups.technologie makes learning easier because we can use the smartboard for questions and directions instead of using paper which is bad for environmentand senteo's give quick results than correcting.

An ordinary day at school we would arrive and take our seats and Mme. would have a slide that has things to remember for the day but on April 29th Mme. had it all handwritten on the board. I think technology affects our every day lives because instead of reviewing everything on the board, we had to take the time to past out all the photocopies and look over all the packet.
On April 29th, we could have used the smart board for warm up's and Mme. could have pulled up a video to help understand our subject better. It was a fun experience but I'm so glad we can use technology everyday.

We could use more of the smartboard to explain more of the problemes that we have with math.L.A. It affects our learning because maybe if 10 kids have a probleme with a math question instead of the teacher going to all the kids we could just use the smartboard and explain it to all the class. We save more trees when we use the smartboard because we don't use as much paper.Went we use technology it is faster so we do things faster.

Technology is an essential part of our daily activity. No technology day was not exactly the most pleasant experience. It was possibly the most dull, drab, and unentertaining day ever experienced in this classroom this whole semester. In english, it sucked!!!!!!:p So keep up the techno dudes!

the no technology day reminded most of us croft pioneers of how we used to learn.We never had smart boards 'till grade three and from then on,we had them instead of white or chalk boards,and they were all we've used since then.not having any technology was wierd,but it wasn't too hard.we've lived without it before,we can live without it now.
however,the tardives had a hard break in science class,what with all the notes.we didn't do much writing,except for the poems in language arts.technology makes learning easier and more fun,it was not impossible to learn without it.i think it was a good change,but i wouldn't want to do it every day.some people said they would love do it every day,but i think that it would get boring to do the same thing every day.we should have a no technology day once a week,and that way we would learn the way we used to and help us understand the way people who can't afford that type of learning tools learn.it sort of makes you think.we've got more than we think we do and no technology day helped some of us appreciate it more

What I think about no technology day is kind of hard, because you have to write everythin off the board, but if you had smartboard you wouldn't even have to write a word. Also if we didn't have technology everything in life really would be hard. Life is a lot more easy with technology because you wouldn't have to write everything down. But it was still very fun. :)

Technology is a part of are routine because in math class we use the smartboard to watch videos on math, do activities and we can just print work insted of writting it all. In laguage arts we use the senteos to find what people like in things like what people like more the smartboard or the senteos. To better are learning experience we could do more or less writting activites, we could also use less or more technology. Thats all I have to say.

there are three reasons why i hated no technolgy day
1.we had to write on paper and usally we go on the smartboard everyday
2. we could of wrote the questions down on the math test but ms.barrieau was lucky enough to photocopy it on time for no technolgy day
3.also it seemed like the class was way longer plus when we use the smart board its much more intresting and less boring then writeing it on a piece of paper and those are all the reasons why i hated no technolgy day.

Techonolgie helps us every day. Every morning we look on to the smart board for our routine for the day. We use it every day in math for warm ups and we use it for science to watch movies insted of reading from a text book. Now us kids are used to the smartboard and the other kinds of technolgie. We definately are spoiled with the smart technolgie. We should definatly try to use it less to see what it is like... so we will be more normal ! hahaha
I dont think technogaly day helped us alot , only in understanding that we need it. I dont like writing so i dident like it at all.
In science we had to write all this stuff that Miss, Barrieau wrote on the board. She wrote all her lesson plan out and took her all day , those are some reasons i dident like it.. Some more reasons were that we couldnt use ANY thing that we usauly do,

Technolgy affects are every day lives because it makes things easier to do. It is alot easirer to look at the smart board then it is to copy notes down off the board. If we had technolgy on "No tecnolgy Day" we would have had a very easy time insteed of coping notes off the chalk board.So i think that tecnolgy is very very good and we should never go without it! mm15t
When we had our no technology day it was very hard. All of our technology effects our routine because it makes it more simple and fun to work with. If we used technology that day we would not have had to wright down notes and instead could of used a fun game on the smart bored. We had to wright down definitions in science and match the words when if we had the smart bored we could of played a matching game. I think technology is a big part of our lives because we grew up with it and we are not used to not being able to use it.

We learn more then writing on a peice of paper because the teacher explains every question to everyone but on paper you have to raise your hand for help. What i thought about "No technologie" day is ... BAD ! I dont like not using technologie because all day you have to write more more and more and we dont learn anything we just copy it down we dont actually read it .. so all the day was REALLY bad !

"NO TECHOLOGY DAY" for me had to be the worst day of my hole life!In math class Miss.Barreau gave use all log 18 which was not good news for me fornucley half the anwers where on the sheet. :} And in Larts we read our faveorite poems[which I loved] .But sceine i hated sceine because we had to write the warm-up down and read from uor TECK BOOK :{ WHICH SNUCK because typeing is way faster than writeing every thing down. so I hope we do not have anther "NO TECHOLOGY DAY" ab2t

During no technology day we had to copy every thing down off the board in stead of looking at a video on the smart board so that was horrible also we couldn’t do any senteo tests and I like doing senteo tests
Also we had to write everything down it was horrible and we couldn’t use computers at all and I like using computers.

No technology day was a drag. We use technology frequently, and rely on it to make life more convenient. We were living in the 1930's! We could have done a Lang. Arts warm-up and a demonstration. Instead, we wasted 5 minutes passing out sheets, and another 5 getting to the right page, when we could have been halfway through! Please Ms. Barrieau, don't ever do this again!!! RK13P :)

No technology day was a good experiens for the kids the differents between technology days and no technology day was that instead of miss barrieau just poping up a video on the web we had to read from a book and instead of poping up our "rechanffement" on the board we had to copy it by hand so i think "No Technology Day" was a good experience maybe kids will stop using technology and get MORE EXSERCIES!!!!!!!
